An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.
The arrests come after a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.
Officers detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Authorities were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.
The attack - which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
